In 1970, Pedro Subijana opened AKELARRE on the slopes of Monte Igueldo in San Sebastián. What began as a restaurant has evolved into a destination where gastronomy, luxury hospitality, wellbeing, architecture and landscape share the same creative vision.

Akelarre Restaurant has held three Michelin stars since 2007. Today, the AKELARRE experience also includes a five-star hotel with 22 rooms and suites, Akelarre Spa and Espazio Oteiza, all overlooking the Bay of Biscay.
